Who we are
GPS Air Navigator is developed and published by NKSoft ("we", "us"). If you have questions about this policy or your data, contact us at support@nksoft.eu.
Location data
The App uses your device's GPS location to show your position on the moving map, calculate navigation data (speed, heading, distance, ETE/ETA) and power features such as airspace proximity alerts and the terrain profile. This processing happens on your device. We do not collect, transmit or store your location on our own servers — because the App does not operate a backend server of its own.
When you look up weather information (METAR, TAF, GRAMET) for a waypoint or your current position, the relevant coordinates are sent to the third-party weather data providers that supply that information (such as Open-Meteo and aviation weather data sources), solely to retrieve the forecast for that location. These providers process that request under their own privacy policies.
Data stored on your device
The following information is created and stored locally on your device, and is not uploaded to us:
- User waypoints and routes you create
- Flight logbook entries, statistics, and recorded flight tracks (GPX files)
- Aircraft and pilot profiles you add to the logbook, including any photos you attach
- App preferences and settings
You control this data entirely: you can export it (for example, as a GPX file or a shared flight report) or delete it at any time from within the App, or by uninstalling the App.
Purchases
Lifetime licences and annual subscriptions are sold and processed by Google Play Billing. We do not receive or store your payment card details — Google handles billing under its own privacy policy. We only receive confirmation that a purchase was made, which the App uses to unlock paid features.
Permissions the App may request
- Location — required for the moving map and navigation features.
- Storage / media — to save flight tracks, exported files, and logbook photos you choose to attach.
- Camera — only if you choose to take a photo for an aircraft or pilot profile in the logbook.
- SMS — only used if you trigger the MAYDAY feature on a device that supports sending an emergency SMS with your position.
Diagnostics and crash reports
Like most apps distributed through Google Play, basic crash and performance diagnostics may be collected automatically by the Google Play platform (Android Vitals) to help us identify and fix bugs. This is governed by Google Play's own data handling terms.
Website analytics
This website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic — for example, how many people visit, which pages are popular, and which country or browser they use. This service does not use cookies or any other persistent identifiers, and does not track you across other websites. It only reports aggregate statistics; we cannot identify an individual visitor from this data.
No account required
You do not need to create an account or provide personal information such as your name or email address to use the App.
Children's privacy
The App is a professional aviation tool and is not directed at, or intentionally marketed to, children.
Your rights
Because your flight data lives on your own device, you are already in full control of it — you can view, export or delete it at any time within the App. If you have questions about any data a third-party service (such as Google Play or a weather provider) may hold about you, please refer to that provider's own privacy policy, or contact us and we will do our best to help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time, for example to reflect new features. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
