GPS Air Navigator is not a certified aviation navigation device and must never be used as your sole or primary means of navigation. It is a supplementary situational-awareness tool only.

Use at your own risk

GPS Air Navigator (the "App") is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of accuracy, completeness, merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. In no event will NKSoft, its developer, or its third-party data providers be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damages — including damages resulting from flight planning or in-flight decisions — arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App.

Not a replacement for official documentation

You must always use official, up-to-date aeronautical charts, AIP publications, NOTAMs and briefing services, and a certified navigation device, when planning and conducting a flight. The App is intended to support — never to replace — sound pilot judgement and compliance with applicable air law.

Accuracy of data

Airspace boundaries, waypoint and airfield information, runway data, terrain elevation, and weather information (including METAR, TAF, NOTAM and GRAMET data) are gathered from a variety of public and third-party sources. We make reasonable efforts to keep this information current, but we do not guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or timeliness. Airspace classifications and activation schedules in particular can change without notice — always confirm with official sources before relying on them.

GPS altitude

The altitude reported by a device's GPS receiver is based on the WGS-84 reference ellipsoid, which in many parts of the world differs substantially from altitude relative to mean sea level (MSL) or from a local QNH-based reading. Never use the raw GPS altitude shown by the App for flight navigation or terrain/obstacle clearance decisions — always cross-check against a certified altimeter.

Terrain and airspace proximity warnings

The terrain profile, collision warnings and airspace proximity alerts are aids to situational awareness. They are based on available map and elevation data, which may be incomplete, outdated, or lower resolution than required for guaranteed obstacle or airspace separation. They must never be used as the sole basis for terrain or airspace avoidance decisions.

Offline maps and third-party content

Offline vector and raster chart data is sourced from OpenStreetMap contributors and other third-party or open data providers, and is provided "as is" by those providers. The App's developer has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the accuracy of this third-party content.

Emergency (MAYDAY) feature

The MAYDAY feature shares your device's last known position and may suggest a route to a nearby waypoint. It is not a certified emergency locator transmitter (ELT/PLB) and does not replace one, nor does it guarantee message delivery (which depends on your device having a cellular or SMS connection at the time). Always carry, and know how to use, appropriate certified emergency equipment for your flight.

Changes to this disclaimer

We may update this disclaimer from time to time to reflect changes in the App or applicable requirements. The "Last updated" date above indicates when it was last revised.
